Sandford Languages Dublin Arabic Evening : Arabic
The Sandford Language Institute has been running courses in Arabic since 1989. Our tutors are native speakers and qualified teachers, teaching the communicative use of the language and making it as relevant as possible to every day situations. All of the main language skills of Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking and Use of language (Grammar) are developed in class. Enrolment for the upcoming Spring 2012 classes is now possible. | Arabic level 1 - Beginners - February 2012 | Absolute beginners - for students who have no previous knowledge of the language |
| Arabic Level 2 - February 2012 | For students who have completed a 21 hour beginners course with Sandford Language Institute or elsewhere.The 'Mastering Arabic' Textbook is used for this course. |
| Arabic Level 3 - February 2012 | Lower Intermediate - For students who understand and use simple structures fairly consistently, and can ask and respond to a wide range of simple questions. They have a reasonable idea of how the tense system works and can express themselves in familiar contexts, although may still make a quite a lot of mistakes. |
| Arabic Level 4 - February 2012 | Intermediate - For students who have a have a good understanding and knowledge of a wide range of language structures and functions, although they may continue to make minor errors syntactically. They have considerable passive knowledge, but need to expand my active usage. I am ready to learn different ways of expressing ideas, work on the subtle nuances of the language, and expand the range of what I can say and write. |
| Arabic Level 5 Upper Intermediate Conversational - February 2012 | (Upper Intermediate) I have a good grasp of all the essential structures and can use them with a reasonable degree of accuracy. Although I have some language gaps and make some errors, I can communicate effectively and appropriately in most situations, including on unfamiliar topics. I am ready to learn more complex forms and more advanced vocabulary. |
| Arabic Level 5 - Upper Intermediate Conversational - February 2012 | Upper Intermediate - for students who have a good grasp of all the essential structures and can use them with a reasonable degree of accuracy, although may have some language gaps and make some errors.They can communicate effectively and appropriately in most situations, including on unfamiliar topics.
